The St. Georgi Victorious Chapel in the sea garden is already completed after commemorative tablets have been consecrated a few days ago with the drawn names of 1058 soldiers of 24th Black sea infantry regiment, who perished in the Balkan wars. The aim of the initiators was to render homage to the brave warriors who joined battle for the freedom of our country and should have their place in Bulgarian history forever getting meritorious respect of their descendants.
Deputy Governor Sevdalina Turmanova, members of the Initiative committee for the chapel building, municipal councilors, public figures and many citizens attended to the event.
The former Governor Konstantin Grebenarov who is the chair of the Initiative Committee for collecting of financing means for the building of this chapel thanked all who helped the idea to be put into effect and appealed to the future municipal councilors to make a decision for celebrating St. Georgi’s Day on this very spot in the chapel in the Sea garden.
