The events in Burgas in the framework of the Tourism Paths in the Black Sea Basin Project ended with a visit to ancient and contemporary tourist sites

Burgas sent the summer off and told also good-bye to the guests from the countries partners in the Tourism Paths in the Black Sea Basin Project (BSB-TOUR) who shared several attractive events related to tourism. The workshop “Traditional products and crafts in the Black sea basin” was followed by the seminar “Hotel-keeping and restaurant management – an international perspective”. The presentations of the partners, the lectures and discussions chaired by Prof. Lina Anastasova, PhD from Burgas Free University and Assoc. Prof. Katya Ilieva from the Tourism College at the University “Prof. Asen Zlatarov, PhD” proved to be exceptionally interesting and useful for learning of the new trends in tourism development as well as for the so-called ‘to see how the land lies’.

Wind, rain and unfavorable temperatures did not stop the guests’ group from visiting the Thracian beehive tomb of Heron from 2nd – 4th century. The Museum of Salt in Pomorie rouse also a reasonablе interest.

The managers of the Museum of apiculture in Kosharitsa village shew visually how to advertise a tourist site. All visitors saw live what the founder of the Museum Kiril Kirov told them during the workshop. They also tasted the honey specialties treated by the hospitable managers.

The guests enjoyed the fabulous narrative of the archaeologist Evtelpa Dioklieva in the Museums of ethnography and history. What they have learned about wine in Burgas region was visualized and tasted in Wine Cellar Medovo.
