Producers of traditional articles from the Black sea coast contries met in hospitable Burgas. The days 23rd and 24th September were devoted to the sharing of what do Black sea countries attract their visitors with, how to make it and how to show it. This happened through the workshop “Traditional products in the Black sea basin. Production, presentation, tasting” with the participation of representatives from Armenia, Ukraine, Moldova, Turkey, Georgia and Bulgaria.
The participants in the event were welcomed by Deputy Governor of Burgas region Sevdalina Turmanova who highlighted the great importance of interaction between cultures and its positive influence in a modern pragmatic world like the world of today. Traditional crafts in Burgas area were presented through attractive performances of transition from antiquity to modern times by preservation of popular customs and articles of our ancestors. The guests from the Black sea states told how they attract tourists to their countries and learned at the same time what marvelous things does bee honey create, how methods of wool processing have been kept till nowadays, how silk and wool can be combined in a beautiful way, which are the cultural events that are turning Burgas into a festival city… They touched the mystery of fire-dancing, visited the famous wine-cellars in the region, shared the happy moments of the wedding ceremony in Nesebar, which is turning into a town of those who are in love.
The culmination of getting lost in the Burgas fascination was the excursion to the St. Anastasia Island.
