The Regional coordination mechanism for deinstitutionalization of children continues to help people of Burgas region. People who are in need of the municipalities Burgas, Karnobat, Sungurlare and Sredets got support in various problems. Legal consultations, assistance in issuing personal documents, financing and consumers’ goods are only a small part of the support given people who are  in difficult situation. During their regular meeting days ago representatives of the institutions discussed a new case concerning a large family. According to a warning information of the State Agency for Child Protection а risk exists for the children of the family concerned to break off their education due to financial embarrassment. Work begins on this case by providing school appliances for the growing up children for a start. The activity of the coordination mechanism is joining 26 organizations and institutions and its head is Deputy Governor Assoc. Prof. Sewdalina Turmanowa, PhD. This initiative is within the framework of the project “The Regional coordination mechanism – a model of effective cooperation and interaction between civil sector, regional and municipal struktures” of Hope and Homes for Children – Branch Bulgaria, a charity organization for children without parental care and living in a difficult position. Next meeting is planned in September. A round table “Good practices and challenges for the deinstitutionalization of children in Burgas region” will be organized in Burgas Regional Administration on September, 16.
