Governor of Burgas region Valcho Cholakov called a sitting of the Regional epizootic commission concerning registered foci of Lumpyskin disease in Edirne Regionq Republic of Turkey.
The measures ordered by the Regional epizootic commission for non-admission of the disease penetration include prohibition of ruminant neat markets and exhibitions in the Bulgaria – Turkey transborder municipalities (Malko Tarnovo, Sredets and Tsarevo) as well as cattle counting in the region. All ruminant neat owners have to immediately inform the local and municipal veterinarian about appearance of any disease suspicion.
“No danger exist for the health and live of the people due to the fact that the disease do not concern humans”, assured the Director of Regional Directorate of Food Safety Dr. Georgi Mitev.
