Sports helps us to manage aggression

Sports is an integral part of the intellectual and emotional development of the rising generation. It teaches us discipline, develops qualities like selfesteem and respect for others, tolerance, responsibility and ability to be a team-worker. Concentration and ability to manage the challenges in life, the aspiration after success and an adequate acceptance of the losses were part of the issues discussed at a meeting in Burgas.

This event is a part of the campaign performed by Burgas Regional Administration and Regional Education Inspectorate as a measure against aggression among young people in schools. “Violence prevention in school through sports” was the discussion topic with the participation of Deputy Governors Sevdalina Turmanova and Vladimir Krumov, Violeta Ilieva – Head of the Regional Education Inspectorate, sports teachers, pupils from Burgas schools and representatives of institutions.

The Director of the National Sports School in Burgas presented to the multiple audience the sporting achievements of the pupils trained at the school. A great interest among the young people roused the prominent Marathon race sportsman Shaban Mustafa who described the way how an ordinary boy grown up in a small Bulgarian village and become a repeated champion of Bulgaria in mountain race, winner of multitude prizes and a “Favorit of the Fans”.

This initiative will be continued with the meeting-discussion “Art against aggression”.
